North Carolina the Beautiful: Statewide Cleanup

America 250 NC has partnered with the DNCR Green Team and the North Carolina Aquariums to coordinate “North Carolina the Beautiful,” a statewide cleanup initiative throughout 2026. Education and stewardship of our state’s natural resources are core to the mission of our department. Find a cleanup near you or register a local cleanup and join us in protecting the places we love for another 250 years and beyond.

DNCR has compiled a guide to hosting cleanups in your community or at your site, including a supply list, pledge for volunteers, day-of implementation guide, and data measurement instructions.

Please reach out to Anne-Elisabeth Baker, DNCR Green Team coordinator (sustainability@dncr.nc.gov) with any questions.
