America 250 NC is proud to showcase a series of captivating children's picture books about North Carolina's vibrant past. Aimed at students in grades 3–5, the series brings 18th-century North Carolina history to life in a way that’s engaging for readers of all ages.

The books, published by the North Carolina Office of Archives and History in partnership with America 250 NC, are Blue's March: An Overmountain Men Tale, Freedom's Howl: Song of the Red Wolf, and Within Our Power: The Story of the Eaton Ladies' Tea Party. We invite you to explore these books and join us in learning about the rich history of North Carolina.
