October 2-5, 2025 (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM)

In its sixth year, Fraser’s Ridge Homecoming is a unique three-day immersive event held in Wilkes County, North Carolina’s back country wilderness. With historically accurate workshops, presentations, encampments, music, dancing and much more, Homecoming attendees will be taken back in time to Jamie & Claire Fraser's (the main characters in the Outlander book and tv series) “home” on The Ridge. Learn and experience 18th-century NC history.

Scheduled Living History Encampment for 2025 includes the following living history groups: Southeastern Civilians, Guilford Courthouse Fife and Drum Corps, History Lives/New Jersey light infantry, Clan Nan Con, Leviathan Crew Living History, Colonial Civilians, NCHR/71st, and 2nd Korps Hesse Kassel Jagers.

Workshops include: Introduction to the Art and Mystery of Surgery and Medicine by a Loyalist Doctor, Embroider an 18th Century Pocket, Echoes of the Past: Exploring the Musical World of Colonial America, Tape Weaving/Handwoven Tape, Dorset Singleton Buttons, Writing in the Revolution (using a metal nib pen), and other historically-related hands-on workshops and presentations.

There will be nightly celebrations featuring amazing dinners, a Memorial Grog Ceremony, a Calling of the Clans, and live music, including performances by Seán Heely, Tom Eure, the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame's R.G. Absher, and The Carolina Thundermugs.

Three-day and evening passes are available.
