Get your hands on history! Anchors Aweigh is geared towards families and folks of all ages, and each hands-on activities will focus on a specific theme in Lower Cape Fear and North Carolina history. On June 4th we will focus on indigo production in the Lower Cape Fear of the 18th century. Visitors will also have the opportunity to dye their own handkerchief with real indigo to take home. These programs are drop-in style and run from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Anchors Aweigh is FREE but donations are accepted and appreciated to support future educational programming here at the NCMMSPT.
