Colin Richardson

Colin Richardson is a National Board Certified Social Studies teacher at Green Hope High School in Wake County, where he teaches American History and Sociology. Over more than a decade at his alma mater, he has developed and implemented curricula across academic, honors, and AP levels; served as a PTSA representative; and created student-centered initiatives that connect local and global narratives. He is a frequent presenter at the NC Council for the Social Studies and was named the 2024 NC History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. Outside of school, Mr. Richardson serves on the Town of Cary Historic Preservation Commission and enjoys spending time chasing his small children around the park.
