Avery County Genealogy Society invites you to join them on August 30th at 11am - 12pm for a grave marking dedicated to William Wiseman. During the American Revolution, William Wiseman joined the Overmountain Men upon their arrival to his farm. With him, he brought his wagon of lasts, leather and tools to make shoes for them as they marched to the Battle of Kings Mountain.
